Hyderabad: A series of cultural programmes, interactive sessions, fun-filled activities and events marked Children’s Day celebrations in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Governor ESL Narasimhan interacted with close to 400 schoolchildren drawn from 30 schools from various parts of the city, who greeted him at Raj Bhavan. On the occasion, a special photo exhibition was also held by the Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University at Raj Bhavan.
Minister for Women and Child Development Thummala Nageswara Rao said that children in the State are benefiting a lot from KCR Kits and distribution of nutritious food in schools, at the Children’s Day celebrations held at Ravindra Bharati.
Nehru Zoological Park marked Children’s Day celebrations by holding essay writing and drawing competitions in which close to 100 students from several schools participated.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Children’s Day, LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) organised an interactive session between doctors and children in which experts shed light on Amblyopia (lazy eyes) and Squint (crossed eyes).
