Sangareddy: Thousands of devotees from across Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra thronged the Sri Swayambhu Siddhivinayak temple in Rejinthal village of Nyalakal mandal on the auspicious occasion of Angaraka Chaturthi here on Tuesday.
The uniqueness of the pilgrimage here was that most devotees prefer arriving at the temple by foot and walk up to 100 km. The temple administration has made enough arrangements and installed special queue lines to streamline the devotee influx and provide them a safe darshan.
Special pujas like Abishekam, Ganapathi Havanam, and Harathi were performed by the temple priests on the auspicious day. President of the temple committee, Rejinthal Sangaiah, said that the influx of devotees would continue late in the night on Tuesday. He claimed that the number of devotees visiting the temple on the auspicious day has crossed one lakh.
