Hyderabad food adulteration: 3 arrested from 3 different places

The Hyderabad Task Force on Tuesday raided three different places and arrested three persons on charges of food adulteration.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Task Force on Tuesday raided three different places and arrested three persons on charges of food adulteration.
 
In the first case, officials raided Sanjeevani Honey Mix and Dry fruits, a unit that was allegedly manufacturing adulterated honey dry fruit at Hussaini Alam and arrested Mohammed Nayeemuddin, a resident of Edi Bazaar. He was preparing adulterated honey with sugar and glucose solution. He further mixed the adulterated honey with dry fruits. About 60 bottles of adulterated honey mixed with dry fruit were seized. Cops said the adulterated honey increases blood sugar levels in humans.
 
In the second case, officials raided an unit of adulterated water bottles at Kanchanbagh and arrested Salam Bin Naser-Ul-Naqeeb, who was selling normal water as  mineral water named as Kenvey and Royal Mineral water. Eight cartons containing 12 bottles of one litre each were seized. 
 
In the third case, officials raided an adulterated ‘saunf’ (fennel seeds) processing unit, Jai Bhavani Namkeens, at Chudi Bazaar in Shahinayathgunj and arrested Kamal Kishore Ojha for adulterating ‘saunf’ using artificial food color powder and other chemicals. About 30kg of saunf was seized.
