Hyderabad gets relief as temperatures dip slightly

Since the beginning of May, citizens had to put up with a harsh summer as temperatures refused to come down below 41 degree Celsius.

Hyderabad: Temperature levels which went beyond 43 degree Celsius across the city over the last few days dipped a bit on Tuesday, hovering around 40 degree Celsius.

Since the beginning of May, citizens had to put up with a harsh summer as temperatures refused to come down below 41 degree Celsius. However, on Tuesday, most parts in the city witnessed the temperatures dipping to about 40 degrees.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Srinagar Colony recorded the day’s highest of 41 degree Celsius followed by Khairatabad (40.9 degree Celsius), BHEL (40.9 degree Celsius) and Maithrivanam (40.8 degree Celsius).

The average temperature recorded in the city at Begumpet on Tuesday was 40.3 degree Celsius with the India Meteorological Department’s forecast saying temperatures would hover around 40-41 degree Celsius in the next few days.
