Hyderabad: The Organizing Committee of Life Skills and Livelihood Skills International Conference series announced that Skills 2017, the International Conference will be held in Hyderabad on November 16 and 17 at MCR, HRD Institute of Telangana at Hyderabad.
The theme of the conference is “Leveraging Digital India for Rural Empowerment‟, to primarily provide impetus to the ongoing Digital India programme that has potential to transform rural economies.
The conference will be inaugurated by KT Rama Rao, Minister for Information Technology, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD), Textiles and NRI affairs, Government of Telangana, government officials along with eminent personalities such as Richard W Oliver CEO of American Sentinel University.
The organisers are expecting about 300 delegates to attend the conference. The delegates will discuss, debate, deliberate and decide on the best means to identify the challenges and create the solutions necessary to ensure leveraging digital India for rural empowerment. The two-day event seeks to address several dimensions of skill development related to Digital India.
Ravi K Reddy, secretary, REEDS, said, “The objective of Skills 2017 conference is to identify and debate the opportunities and challenges associated with leveraging ‘Digital India Programme’ for creating life and livelihood skills that could facilitate rural income. The conference aims to propose initiatives for central, state and local government policies and programs in promoting and getting acceptability for digitization and leverage it in order to achieve overall economic growth. The program further targets to engage NGOs, social and business entrepreneurs, organizations to create suitable projects, commercial models, products, programmes and services to accelerate Digital India for sustainable rural economies.”
