Hyderabad: The Indian Economic Trade Organisation presented Asian Arab Awards 2019 here on Saturday.
Over 500 delegates from all over the world, along with 35 awardees from the Asian and Arab continent, took part in the event. More than 800 nominees and achievers have been selected by an international jury that has offices in GCC Countries and in the 21 other countries of the continent.
This year’s partner country is the Kingdom of Bahrain. A large delegation of 45 investors, led by Ahlam Yousif Janahi, president of Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society, is looking at building trade relations with Telangana by exploring opportunities in Hyderabad.
“The stable government in Telangana is the main driving factor for these businessmen to think of investment in the State and its progressive approach towards new businesses,” said Dr Asif Iqbal, president of the Indian Economic Trade Organisation.
A roundtable was conducted with the theme ‘India’s expanding role in Asia: Adapting to rising power status’.
Inaugurating the roundtable, former chief of Research and Analysis Wing, AS Dulat spoke about the threat of nationalism to a country like India. He said, “DNA of India remains secular,” he said.
