Hyderabad: Ivarna-2019 to be a platform for innovative ideas

The tech fest includes coding for engineering and management students, hackathon, drone race, project expo

Hyderabad: Students should lay special focus on comprehensive development of their skills, said Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) vice-president (HR) P Kiranmayi.

Inaugurating the national technical festival of KL Hyderabad University, ‘Ivarna-2019’, on Friday, the senior HR professional acknowledged that there are enough jobs across the globe but to achieve them, students must develop skill sets.

IIT Hyderabad Registrar Dr R Pradeep Kumar said students should be socially responsible and pursue education with commitment. There are many specialised courses available in higher education for students and they must ensure that they acquire full knowledge of the subjects chosen by them.

Dr RVRK Chalam, Chairman of ‘Ivarna-2019’ organising committee, said that the intention of holding the two-day technical festival was to promote technology, talent and innovative ideas among students.

The tech fest includes coding for engineering and management students, hackathon, drone race, project expo. Campus Director Kolli Koteswara Rao said such programmes were being conducted to give students an apprenticeship in education.
