Hyderabad: They might have been slightly late, coming in after 4 pm instead of the 2 pm that was norm over the last one week. But the situation after the rains on Saturday was as usual with many complaints of waterlogging being lodged across the city, right from Hitec City to Trimulgherry and beyond.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Madhapur received the day’s highest rainfall of 45.3 mm till 7 pm, followed by Jagadgirigutta (30.3 mm) and Qutbullahpur (30 mm).
Even as the city received heavy rainfall, the India Meteorological Department’s weather warning said thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and heavy rains is very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana on Sunday.
Private weather forecast agency Skymet said rainfall activity with moderate spells and isolated heavy showers is likely to continue at some places of Telangana including Hyderabad, Khammam and Mahbubnagar.
“Along with this, scattered light rain is likely to occur over parts of Telangana and these rainfall activities will reduce significantly after 24 hours in the State,” the agency added.
