Hyderabad: An auto rickshaw driver was allegedly killed by his father and elder brother at Jeedimetla reportedly over a petty argument.

According to the Inspector Jeedimetla, P Ramana Reddy, the victim identified as Mudala Venkateshwarlu had come to his house in an inebriated state on Saturday night and knocked the door.

When his father M Pullaiah opened the door and Venkateshwarlu picked up a quarrel with him saying he was knocking the door for long time and asked why they did not open the door. “Infuriated over it Pulliah along with his other son Srinivas hit Venkateshwarlu with a pestle and stick on the head. The man died on the spot,” said police official.

Basing on a complaint, the police registered a case under Section 302 of IPC and took up investigation. Efforts are on to nab Pulliah and Srinivas.
