Hyderabad Police Commissioner inaugurates CCTVs at Punjagutta

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy inaugurated 33,731 surveillance cameras at Jaya Gardens in Somajiguda here on Thursday.

All the cameras were installed at various places across four divisions under the west zone as part of ‘Nenu Saitham’ initiative.

Speaking after the inauguration, the Commissioner said, “The surveillance cameras are proving to be helpful in nabbing culprits, even those who flee the city after the crime. Most of them are now scared to commit offences due to the presence of the CCTVs.”

The Commissioner also inaugurated a photo exhibition organised by various schools and distributed prizes to the winners of the drawing competition on the occasion.
