Hyderabad: Stalker attacks two; jumps in front of moving train

Hyderabad: A stalker attacked a family and injured them grievously before ending his life by allegedly jumping in front of a moving train at Secunderabad.

According to the police, Srinivas Reddy, 31, a resident of Jubilee Hills, was working with a private company in the same area. He used to stalk a woman from the locality and proposed to her. However, she did not show any interest.

On Saturday night, he went to the woman’s house and picked up a quarrel with her mother, Sujatha, who reprimanded him.

“In a fit of rage, Reddy attacked Sujatha with a screwdriver resulting in grievous injuries to her. He also inflicted serious injuries on the victim,” said Jubilee Hills Inspector K Balakrishna Reddy. After being informed by local people, the police shifted the victims to a hospital and registered a case.

Reddy, who after attacking the duo, went to Secunderabad railway station and reportedly ended his life by jumping in front of a train. On Sunday morning, his body was found on the tracks. A case was registered by the Secunderabad Railway Police. The victims are natives of Tamil Nadu.
