Hyderabad startup wins SR Innovation challenge

The programme was conducted on April 6 and 7 to find the best innovations from across India and more than 150 startups participating in the preliminary round.

Hyderabad: Tier-2 technology incubator S R Innovation Exchange on Saturday declared winners of Innovation X 1.0 and Hyderabad-based intelligent crop platform Crop IQ is one of the winners. The programme was conducted on April 6 and 7 to find the best innovations from across India and more than 150 startups participating in the preliminary round.

Apart from Crop IQ, Flowrhex and Macfarm have also been adjudged the best and were awarded Rs 1 lakh along with incubation and mentoring support for the next six months. While Flowrhex is trying to change the way of conventional chemical production, Macfarm is developing multi harvesting agriculture machines.

S R Innovation Exchange CEO Sreedevi Devireddy said, “SRiX provides not only a platform for innovative startups to showcase their ideas but also extend support in the form of a mentor network and angel investors that is crucial for turning innovation-to-reality.”

The three startups were selected based on their innovation quotient and problem solving parameters by jury that included Phanindra Sama, chief innovation officer, Telangana government; Murali Talasila, partner and innovation leader, PwC; Sujai Karampuri, CEO, TWorks; Sai Panyam, founder, Idealantis Technologies; Ravi Korukonda, co-founder, Purpletalk Inc and Xcube labs and Shivdhar Soma, senior partner, The Consulting Board.
