Hyderabad: City-based student Chagari Koushal Kumar Reddy has won top honours in the JEE Main – 2020 examination results announced on Friday night. Reddy was amongst the nine students from all over the country to secure 100 per cent score.
The examination was conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) between January 7 and 9 across 233 cities with 9.21 lakh candidates registering for the same and 8.69 lakh of them appearing.
Reddy who studied at St. Pauls High School, Hyderabad till 8th standard, pursued further studies from Sri Chaitanya at DD Colony, Vidyanagar and went on to crack the JEE Mains – 2020.
A recipient of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana fellowship of the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, he got through the Indian Association of Physics Teachers Olympiad – 2020 and was selected for the stage-2 test of Indian National Olympiad examination.
Reddy is the son of C. Neelakanta Reddy, secretary to General Manager, South Central Railway (SCR).
Neelakanta Reddy attributed his son’s success to a well scheduled plan of studies which laid stress on academics as well as physical and mental fitness all through.
SCR GM, Gajanan Mallya, congratulated the student and expressed his happiness that a child belonging to railway family has achieved one of the top most academic honours in the country.
