Hyderabad to host GreenPro Summit

The objective of the Summit is to share and discuss the latest and emerging trends and technologies and explore new growth opportunities.

Hyderabad: GreenPro – Green Product Certification launched by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has gained momentum. Green building product manufacturers have adopted GreenPro certification for over 350 of their products.

The demand for green products has substantially increased in construction and manufacturing industrial sectors. Against this background, CII is organising its second edition of GreenPro Summit 2018 on 17th & 18th April at Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

The objective of the Summit is to share and discuss the latest and emerging trends and technologies and explore new growth opportunities. Indian green building movement aims at achieving green building footprint of 10 billion square feet by 2022. More than 350 leading corporate and manufacturing units have adopted green procurement for greening their supply chain.

Arvind Kumar, principal secretary, Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Government of Telangana; Dr B Janardhan Reddy, commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC); Parasu Raman R, chairman, Green Products & Services Council and founding chairman, IGBC; C Shekar Reddy, chairman, IGBC – Hyderabad Chapter and V Suresh, chairman, IGBC Policy Advocacy Committee will address at the inaugural session on Tuesday.

The inaugural session will also be marked by award of GreenPro Certification to 15 Green Products and release of reference manual on GreenPro Certification.
