Hyderabad: Two women end lives in separate cases

Hyderabad: In separate incidents, two women committed suicide after arguments with their husbands in the city.

B Sandhya (34), a resident of Punjagutta, who was working as maid, was married to Satyanarayana around 10 years ago. On Sunday night, following a tiff with her husband over some family issues, she doused herself with kerosene and set ablaze, the police said. She was rushed to Gandhi Hospital where she was declared brought dead.

In a separate case, Fatima Begum, 31, a resident of Bhavaninagar died after consuming bathroom cleaning acid. According to Bhavaninagar police, Fatima was married to Mohd Yousuf, of Talabkatta 13 years ago and the couple have four children. On Saturday after a tiff with her husband over some family issues she went to her mother’s house in the same locality.

There, she went into the bathroom and consumed bathroom cleaning acid. She was rushed to Osmania General Hospital where she died on Sunday night. A case was registered by the Bhavaninagar police who took up investigation.
