Hyderabad: Women healthcare consultation from Hyderabad on Docprime’s digital platform has quadrupled over the last four months. Women from the city accounted for 8.4 per cent (16,800) of the two lakh women who went for online consultation from across 30 cities of India, as per the latest findings released by the healthcare platform of Policybazaar Group.
Beating the national participation growth rate of around 44 per cent, online medical consultancy by women from Hyderabad grew almost four times between January and April, across all the age groups.
Ashish Gupta, CEO, Docprime.com said that be it any State or city, women tend to ignore their health related troubles and shy away from openly discussing their ailments. Docprime’s medical help on chat gives women their desired platform to share these issues before it gets complicated.
Nearly 17.3 per cent consultations were for pain related problems followed by pregnancy related advices with a 12.56 per cent share. Around 25 per cent discussions were regarding menstruation, women specific health issues, seasonal health issues and sexual wellness.
For women from Hyderabad, headache tops the list with a share of 20.7 per cent in overall pain related issues. Pregnancy cases and skin related advices with a share of 13.7 per cent and 11.9 per cent respectively are the other two top symptoms women patients consulted for. Around 25 per cent online medical consultancy was regarding menstruation, women specific health issues, seasonal health issues and sexual wellness.
Symptoms related to pregnancy, skin and menstruation trouble more than 50 per cent women under the age group between 18-25 years. Women under the age bracket of 25-40 years seek maximum advices (over 40 per cent) for pregnancy, pain and seasonal health issues.
