Hyderabad youth bags first rank in TS ICET

Admission counselling schedule will be issued shortly

Hyderabad: Scoring 164.28882 marks, Sathya Adithya Thati of Hyderabad bagged the first rank in the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) 2018 results announced, here on Wednesday.

The second rank was secured by Y Sai Sandeep also of Hyderabad with 163.90785 marks while the third rank was bagged by G Naveen Kumar of Medchal Malkajgiri with 162.72563 marks.

In the top 10 ranks, nine ranks were secured by men and only one woman, S Lakshmi Sravanthi of Khammam got fourth rank. This apart, one from Andhra Pradesh, Vinod Kumar Reddy P and Rohan Joshi of Maharashtra got fifth and sixth ranks respectively.

The results were announced by Telangana State Council of Higher Education Chairman T Papi Reddy at TSCHE here.

A total of 61,439 candidates had registered, of which 55,191 appeared for the exams. As many as 49,812 candidates have qualified translating the pass percentage to 90.25.

Reddy said the admission counselling schedule would be issued shortly. The affiliation to the private colleges was yet to be finalised by the varsities, he added.

The TS ICET is conducted for admissions into MBA and MCA courses offered by university and private affiliated colleges in the State.

In the academic year 2017-18, as many as 28,000 seats were filled of 32,000 seats in 304 colleges including government and private colleges. In the MCA course, 3,306 seats were filled of the 5,846 seats in 49 colleges.
