Hyderabad: Youth gets two-year RI for harassing minor

The convicted person, M Shiva (21), a resident of Saroornagar, had in October, 2015 along with his friend, stalked the girl while she was going to school and harassed her in the name of love.

Hyderabad: A local court in LB Nagar on Wednesday sentenced a youngster to two years of rigorous imprisonment for stalking and harassing a minor girl. The court also imposed fine of Rs 1,500 on him.

The convicted person, M Shiva (21), a resident of Saroornagar, had in October, 2015 along with his friend, stalked the girl while she was going to school and harassed her in the name of love. He and his friend also made phone calls and abused and threatened her, following which she approached the Saroornagar police, who arrested Shiva. His friend, a juvenile, was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
