Hyderabad’s IT corridor dons green look ahead of GES

Not just cascading greenery, the civic body also put up flower plants of different colours in the shape of animals to beautify the medians.

Hyderabad: As Hyderabad gears up to host the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, the urban biodiversity wing of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) metamorphosed most of IT corridor with a series of beautification initiatives.

While vertical garden with cascading flowers theme at prominent places have added a touch of aesthetics, the ‘D’ shaped vertical garden at the left side of the Hitex gate has come up as a major attraction.

Not just cascading greenery, the civic body also put up flower plants of different colours in the shape of animals to beautify the medians. The renovation of central median from Gachibowli flyover to Hitex arch and main central median from the Hitex arch to NAC main gate sport a new look.

Placing of painted cement benches under trees for pedestrians has been taken up apart from painting of 90 trees up to 4 feet high with the environment and the theme pictures.

The painting of about 60 phoenix trees in the central median with self-glow paint is already completed while work on the concept structures display of currency symbols at the entrance of the Hitex arch is in progress.
