IIT-Hyderabad to host a conclave on Industrial Design

The two-day conclave will be conducted in highly interactive format structure.

Sangareddy: In an attempt to help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and start-ups create new global brands and successful products through innovation, a two-day Conclave on Industrial Design on the theme of “New Product Development” will be organised in IIT-Hyderabad on June 29 and 30. 

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Design Centre’s of Hyderabad, Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur and Guwahati IITs and Indian Institute of Science-Bangalore is organising the two-day event. 

Speaking about the Industrial Design Conclave, Prof. U.B. Desai, Director, IIT Hyderabad said, “It is a matter of pride that IIT-Hyderabad is hosting this conclave, which is a sign of the strong connect between the academic and the Industry.”

Presentations and workshops aims to disseminate actionable knowledge that people can use and apply immediately in their workplace for conceiving new products and improving existing products.

Dr. Anil Kakodkar, President of National Academy of Sciences, India, Chairman, Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission, and also the Chairman of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council and Shri Surendra Nath Tripathi, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, Prof U. B. Desai, Director, IIT Hyderabad, are among the eminent speakers who will be addressing the conclave.
