Indian defence college delegation visits Oman State Council

Riyadh: A delegation from the College of Defence Management in Secunderabad visited Oman and met with key officials of the Sultanate and discussed a wide range of topics to promote bilateral relations.

The College has trained over thousands of officers since its inception. Selected civilian officers from the Ministry of Defence and officers from friendly foreign countries also attend the programmes. The delegation visited the Oman State Council here on Tuesday where Maj. Gen. Satinder Singh of NDC headed the delegation.

The delegation was greeted upon arrival by the State Council members, Khalfan Saleh Mohamed al Naabi, Dr Wafa Salim Ali al Harrasy and Saleh Zakwani, according to a press release. The Omani officials welcomed the delegation and said that the visit would fulfil the objective to promote relations between Oman and India.

Meanwhile, the delegation praised the comprehensive development the sultanate has achieved under the leadership of Sultan Qaboos bin Said. The delegation also visited Oman’s National Defence College at Bait Al Falaj and discussed various academic and training subjects with its commandant Maj. Gen Salim bin Musallam Qatan. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Mohammed bin Ya’arub Al Saifi, NDC Assistant Commandant and some NDC officials.
