Warangal Urban: Notification for Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test -2017 (TSICET) for admission into MBA and MCA courses in the ensuing academic year will be released on February 21 and the test is scheduled to be held on May 18, said Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) Chairman T Papi Reddy.
The first meeting of the ICET committee was held at Kakatiya University here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of university Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna to finalise the schedule.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, TSCHE chairman Prof T Papi Reddy, who attended the meeting as special invitee, said that the last date for submission and registration of the application is April 6. However, the application can be made till May 14 with maximum late fee of Rs 10,000.
While the preliminary key of the test will be announced on May 21, objections will be accepted till May 27 and results will be out on May 30.
Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna said that the university was conducting the Integrated Common Entrance Test for last six consecutive years.
ICET convener Prof K Omprakash said that the test would be held at 16 regional centres in the State – Adilabad, Hyderabad, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kodad, Kothagudem,
Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Wanaparthy and Warangal.
There were 28,174 seats in MBA stream and 2,336 in MCA course in colleges in the State last year. The number is likely to change this year (2017-18).
University Registrar Prof MV Ranga Rao along with CET committee members representing universities in Telangana took part in the meeting.
