The National Investigation Agency, which busted several terror modules in Kerala after blasts in Sri Lanka in 2019, was reportedly trying to trace Islamic State’s Kasargod module and the involvement of Indians in the prison attack apart from the recruitment process carried out to execute the plan. Sources added that three out of a dozen IS terrorists involved in the attack were from India.
