Jeddah: In a tragic incident on first day of Ramzan, a Telangana man died of heart attack while breaking fast on Friday in Saudi Arabia. Ramzan has begun in Saudi Arabia a day ahead of India.

52-year old Mohammed Badar, native of Jagtial, complained of chest pain while breaking the fast along with his colleagues at an accommodation in Abqaiq, a key petroleum hub of world oil giant ARAMCO, in Saudi Arabia. He was feeling a bit better but later developed pain and was rushed to a local hospital in the town where he was declared brought dead, according to sources.

Badar was working in a salt producing factory in Riyadh and was moved to Abqaiq two months ago, said his colleagues.

A source in the hospital has said deceased was having diabetic history. The family back home in India requested to send video and photos of their beloved bread winner. Fasting during Ramzan can be a challenge for diabetic patients due to fluctuation in blood sugar levels.
