Jangaon: ACB traps deputy surveyor

The deputy surveyor allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 from one Balagani Praveen, an Indain army staffer to fix the boundaries to the nine acres of his land.

Jangaon: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught Palakurthy mandal assistant of the deputy surveyor (private) Chinnaboina Venkataiah while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 on behalf of deputy surveyor Nampally Sirnivas at a hotel here on Monday.

The deputy surveyor allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 from one Balagani Praveen, an Indain army staffer to fix the boundaries to the nine acres of his land. This has prompted Praveen to approach the ACB.

Following this, the ACB officials led by DSP K Bhadraiah had hatched a plan and trapped the assistant deputy surveyor and arrested both of them. Balagani Praveen Kumar hails from Vishnuri village of Palakurthy mandal of the district.
