Jilted lover slits girl’s throat in Sangareddy

On Thursday, Aravind reportedly entered the girl’s house on the pretext of talking to her. They got into an argument after she rejected his proposal and Aravind slit her throat.

Sangareddy: A jilted lover killed a minor girl by slitting her throat with a knife at Vinayaka Nagar Colony under Bollaram police station limits in Sangareddy district on Thursday evening. Aravind, a third year B-Tech student of a private engineering college in Nanded, Maharashtra, was allegedly stalking the 16-year-old for the past few months.

On Thursday, he reportedly entered the girl’s house on the pretext of talking to her. They got into an argument after she rejected his proposal and Aravind slit her throat. On hearing her screams, the owner of the house and neighbours rushed to rescue the girl, who was bleeding profusely.

They caught Aravind and beat him up before handing him over to the police. The girl, who was rushed to a private hospital in Kukatpally in Hyderabad, was declared dead by doctors. The police registered a case.
