JNTU-Hyderabad introduces six new courses

The new courses were introduced as the varsity received several proposals from the principals of autonomous and affiliated colleges.

Hyderabad: Students opting for engineering admissions will have six new courses in the emerging technologies to choose from for the academic year 2020-21.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) has approved introduction of new six new BTech courses including Computer Engineering (Software Engineering), Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science), Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things), and Computer Science and Engineering (Networks) for the academic year 2020-21.

An official order to this effect was issued by the varsity here on Friday.

The new courses were introduced as the varsity received several proposals from the principals of autonomous and affiliated colleges.

Accordingly, the university convened a committee meeting on February 26 and examined the proposals of the colleges. Based on the recommendations of the committee, the JNTU-H in-charge Vice-Chancellor Jayesh Ranjan has approved six new courses.
