Yadadri-Bhongir: The experiment of the district administration to conduct a job mela in a remote rural area has yielded good result as more than 2,305 unemployed attended the job mela conducted at Sansthan Narayanpur in the district on Thursday.
The unemployed from Sansthan Narayanpur, Pochampally, Valigonda, Ramannapet and Choutuppal mandals attended the job mela through which 32 companies have planned to select candidates for jobs in their firms. Moreover, 699 candidates have got the job offer letters from different companies.
Earlier, Munugode MLA K Prabhakar Reddy and district Collector Anitha Ramachandran inaugurated the job mela in ZP High School ground at Sansathan Narayanpur by lighting the lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Prabhakar Reddy has informed that the Chief Minister K Chandrasehekhar Rao would lay the foundation stone to a Industrial Development Area, which would come up in 1,000 acres at Dandu Malkapuranm. Stating that the companies coming up in Industrial Area would provide employment to 800 candidates, he assured that local candidates would be provided priority in recruitment’s. He pointed out that the State government was also encouraging entrepreneurs through TS-iPass to setup industries in the State.
The District Collector felt that it was not possible to provide government jobs to all the educated youth. Until they get a chance of getting government jobs, the unemployed should work in private sector that would help them financially, she suggested.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Tharun Joshi reminded that the State government has issued GO for filling up of 18,000 constable jobs in the police department and job recruitment notification would also be released soon. Reminding that police department was also conducting free training classes to the aspirants of constable jobs, he asked the unemployed to utilize the facility.
MLC Karne Prabhakar, Joint Collector G Ravi, Deputy Commissioner of Police Yadagiri, District Rural Development Officer Venkat Rao and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sneha Latha were also attended the programme as guests.
