Kadiam takes part in voting in Hanamkonda

Over 7000 votes were reportedly missing from the electoral lists in Malkajgiri assembly constituency.

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Minister Kadiam Srihari exercised his franchise in the Teachers colony polling station at Hanamkonda.

Over 7000 votes were reportedly missing from the electoral lists in Malkajgiri assembly constituency. Many of the voters who turned up at polling station at Pragati school in Yapral were disappointed to find their names missing from the lists. Some of the voters complained that the there was no display on the VPAT.

Voters at P K Banjar in Enkoor mandal of Khammam district staged a demonstration seeking road connectivity to their village. They threatened to boycott the polls if the authorities failed to come out with an assurance on their demand.

They relented only after the intervention of their Mandal Revenue Officer who assured that their demand will be taken up with the Collector. But only four per cent of the villagers took part in voting in the first two hours.
