Jayashankar Bhupalpally: Elaborate security arrangements were made for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s visit to the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme located on the border of Maoist-affected Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.
Superintendent of Police (SP) R Bhaskaran along with Additional SP Rajamahendra Naik and others, on Friday, inspected the security arrangements at Kaleshwaram temple, Kannepally pump house, Medigaddda barrage and Annaram barrage in view of the Chief Minister’s visit to these sites on Sunday.
Personnel of the Armed Reserve (AR), Special Party and Civil wing in large numbers were deployed at the helipads in these places. Chandrashekhar Rao will first visit the Kaleshwaram temple to offer prayers and then leave for the Kannepally pump house. He will later visit Medigadda and Annaram barrages.
Earlier, Bhaskaran conducted a meeting with the police officials of both Bhupalpally and Mulugu districts at his office in Bhupalpally to review the security arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit. Additional SP (AR) Sadananda Reddy and others attended the meeting.
