Hyderabad: The Kamalnathan Committee constituted by the Centre to oversee the division of employees between the two Telugu States has intensified its operation to complete its task, holding a crucial meeting the Chief Secretaries of Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

While TS Chief Secretary SP Singh and other officials participated in the meeting at the State Secretariat, his AP counterpart SP Tucker and officials participated in the meeting through video conference. The committee discussed extensively about the division of employees of Health, Labour, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Special Protection Force (SPF) commandos and other pending issues.

Kamalnathan asked both the Chief Secretaries to speed up the division of employees. He gave a few guidelines for division of health and police department officials and directed them to complete the division as per guidelines by end of March.

It may be mentioned that Telangana Gazetted Officer’s president V Srinivas Goud had recently complained against the Kamalnathan Committee for delaying the division of employees and consequent delay in the recruitment process of fresh employees.
