Karimnagar Collector wants people to continue Action Plan

Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed on Saturday said villages would be developed on all fronts if 30-day Action Plan was followed through the year. Instead of halting the programme with this month, people must continue it further. If it was done, face of the villages would be changed, the Collector said.

The Collector participated in 30-day Action Plan held in Khadargudem of Manakondur mandal on Saturday. He also interacted with the people of the village.

Speaking on the occasion, Sarfaraz Ahmed said with a view to educate the people on need for maintaining their localities clean, State government has taken up 30-day plan. Besides sanitation, measures to enhance greenery has been taken up during the programme. Asking the people do sramadanam once in a week, he advised them to maintain their houses as well as village clean.

He wanted the people to plant at least six sapling in every house. It was mandatory to plant Krishnathulasi, which prevents mosquitoes from entering into houses, he advised.

The Collector asked the people to prepare village annual plants by organising meeting with all the people. Asking people not to dump garbage on roads, he advised to handover it to rikshaws by storing it in dustbins. He wanted the people to take steps not to store rain water at residential areas, fill pits, and observe dry day on every Friday. Besides establishing graveyards, saplings must be planted in them with the help of philanthropists, the Collector added.
