Karimnagar: A degree student came up with an invention which would alert if someone is not maintaining the social distance while moving in open areas. The instrument designed by Budavarapu Sneha sounds an alarm when any other person approaches the wearer in a radius of one meter.

The instrument named ‘Covid-19 Alert ID Card’ sounds the alarm to ensure maintaning of one meter distance to prevent transmission of Covid-19 virus. The student also designed a watch which would alert the wearer, if he touches face. Sensors on this watch sound an alarm whenever the wearer tries to touch his or her face, while wearing it.

People are nowadays asked to maintain social distancing and also not to touch their face, because even if there is any contamination the virus affects a person when he touches his face, nose, eyes or mouth.

Sneha, a resident of Jyothinagar in Karimnagar said she devised the instruments with the help of her father Mallesham. She is studying first year B. Sc electronics in Apoorva Degree College in Karimnagar.
