Ace chef cooks over 201 dishes continuously in 60 hours

Freedom Supported Chef Sharath Kumar to enter Guinness Book of World Records for non-stop cooking

Hyderabad: Freedom Refined Sunflower Oil in association with chef Sharath Kumar on Tuesday organised ‘Freedom Cooking Marathon’, an initiative aimed at enabling Sharath Kumar make it into the coveted Guinness Book of World Record for non-stop cooking.

In the attempt to enter Guinness Book, the ace chef cooked continuously for 60 hours, in accordance with the guidelines by observers from the Guinness Book of World Record. In the process, he prepared more than 201 dishes during the activity. His achievement has taken him into Guinness Book, The Limca Book of records and The India Book of Records.

According to organisers, Sharath is a young chef from Mandya, Karnataka and understands taste, flavours and possesses enviable plating skills.

The cuisines prepared by Sharath during Freedom Cooking Marathon were served to visitors, observers, and audience at the venue. During the event, Sharath had also prepared food especially for charitable organisations that support needy children and poor people.

P Chandra Shekhara Reddy, Vice president, Sales & Marketing, Freedom Refined Sunflower Oil said, “We encourage young and budding chef’s efforts to challenge the norms, up skill and set new benchmarks by following their passion and dream”.

As part of this endeavour, we organised the event to set a new Guinness Book of world record for non-stop cooking and will look forward to supporting such endeavours in the future, he added.
