KCR hails trial run of KTPS seventh phase

The Chief Minister said that for more transparency and for expeditious works, the construction of power plants had been entrusted to the Public Sector Undertaking.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday complimented all officials concerned following the trial run of Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS) seventh phase. The trial run commenced with lighting of the boiler. The Chief Minister congratulated Transco and Genco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao over phone.

The Chief Minister said that for more transparency and for expeditious works, the construction of power plants had been entrusted to the Public Sector Undertaking and said he was happy that the targets are being achieved.

Chandrashekhar Rao said that taking a cue from the KTPS, other plants such as Yadadri and Bhadradri should also be completed on fast track. The Chief Minister also congratulated the employees and staff of electricity organizations who are working with dedication and commitment to fulfill the objective of making Telangana a power surplus State.
