KCR Kits a boon for lactating women: Etela Rajender

Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender said that with a view to provide nutritious food to pregnant women, the State government was giving Rs 12,000 and another Rs 1,000 if the women gave birth to a baby girl.

Karimnagar: KCR Kits is a boon for poor lactating women and it will help both mother and child, said Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender.

The Minister distributed KCR Kits to lactating women in the district hospital on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that with a view to provide nutritious food to pregnant women, the State government was giving Rs 12,000 and another Rs 1,000 if the women gave birth to a baby girl.

The amount will be provided in four instalments. After delivery KCR Kits will be provided to the women for safety of mother and child.

Earlier, people used to be scared to visit government hospitals and avail treatment, but the Telangana government has completely changed that opinion by providing quality treatment to patients by modernising and providing basic facilities in all government hospitals.

Government has put an end to all old practices and giving importance to health and education. Besides all cancers, liver and heart transplantations have also been included in Aarogyasri scheme, minister informed and asked the people to avail the benefits of welfare schemes.
