Hyderabad: Reacting sharply to the Congress claims that a silent revolution was brewing against the TRS government, TRS MP Balka Suman said through a revolution was brewing, it was not against the TRS government but it was the KCR’s revolution that was brewing to wipe out Congress party in Telangana State.

He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has become a family member for every farmer with the implementation of Rythu Bandhu scheme and improving self-confidence among them.

Addressing a press conferences at TRS Legislative Party here on Saturday, Suman stated that people have stopped listening to the Congress leaders who lost credibility in Telangana State. He alleged that TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy lied to people of Telangana during his bus yatra on Pranahita project. “I am ready to prove his lies and dare him to either prove me wrong or rub his nose on the ground at Gandhi Bhavan,” he demanded.

He said the previous Congress governments ruined the condition of Singareni Collieries Company Limited and shutdown Sirpur Paper Mills, while the TRS government was rejuvenating them. “We will convene a public meeting in Sirpur and have the Chief Minister reopen the Paper Mills shortly,” he added.

The Peddapalli MP said if TRS focussed on progressive programmes, Congress was resorting to destructive politics.

“They are trying to obstruct even Rythu Bandhu scheme which is benefiting lakhs of farmers. Even tenant farmers are benefiting indirectly as the farmers with large landholding are giving up their benefits which will enable the government to ensure better remuneration for their produce. I gave up Rs 78,500 given to me for 18 acres land owned by my family,” he stated.

He pointed out that the TRS government introduced numerous schemes in the last four years for benefit of every section of the society and will introduce more schemes before the elections.

MLC V Gangadhar Goud said while people in rural areas are celebrating the Rythu Bandhu scheme and welcoming TRS elected representatives and officials into their villages, the Congress leaders are spewing venom for implementing the scheme. “If the Congress leaders do not change their attitude, people will revolt against them and ensure that they lose their deposits in the next elections,” he warned.

MLC Bhanu Prasad pointed out that while the opposition parties were only showing lip sympathy to farmers, Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao was lending his support to farmers to empower them. He sought to know if the Opposition parties were committed to farmers welfare, why did they fail to implement a scheme like Rythu Bandhu during their regime.
