Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home, G Kishan Reddy visited State-run Covid-19 treatment facilities including Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS), Gachibowli, Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad and Ayurveda Hospital in Erragadda on Saturday.
At TIMS, Kishan Reddy inspected the infrastructure, interacted with patients and held a review with doctors, staff to take stock of the prevailing situation. Later, he visited Ayurvedic Hospital and interacted with corona warriors, health care workers and people visiting the centre for tests.
Kishan Reddy inspected the facilities available for Covid-19 patients at Gandhi Hospital and then interacted with patients, doctors, nursing staff and other health care workers to know more about the current state of affairs including availability of beds and medicines in the Covid care centre.
Reddy emphasized the need for tracing, testing and treatment on a large scale to combat this pandemic. The Union Minister said the Covid-19 pandemic could be more severe in the coming days and urged the general public to be more cautious.
“As of now, there is no cure for the Covid-19. The only way to be safe from the pandemic is to follow the guidelines that are released by the State and Central governments from time to time”, he said.
