Khammam: Steps are being taken to set up corona isolation wards at Palair in Khammam and at Aswaraopet in Kothagudem district, informed the health officials.
The isolation wards were being readied to lodge persons with corona symptoms locally. In Kothagudem, there were 141 persons put under isolation while there were 164 persons with recent foreign travel history.
There were four corona positive cases reported in the district and all the cases were referred to designated hospitals in Hyderabad. In all 30 persons with primary contact with corona positive cases were identified, health officials said.
In Khammam, there are 382 presons who had traveled abroad and of them, 373 are under home quarantine while the remaining nine are under special home quarantine. So far, 467 persons were checked at corona isolation ward at District General Hospital in Khammam.
As many as 80 asymptomatic contacts were kept in isolation at Mamatha General Hospital. In all 54 samples were collected, of them 31 tested negative and test results of 23 samples were awaited, informed health bulletin by District Medical and Health Office.
Meanwhile, The gunman of Kothagudem DSP was directed to undergo home isolation for a period of 14 days along with his family at his native village at Andugulagudem in Tekulapalli mandal, informed Health officer Dr. Naresh.
