Director Krish’s heart is filled with happiness and excitement as his historical drama Gautamiputra Satakarni, featuring Balakrishna and Shriya in the lead roles is lined up for release on January 12. He is all praise for Balayya’s commitment and shares a spine-chilling incident that happened when the unit was shooting for a war sequence in Morocco.

“When we were shooting a blasting sequence in Morocco, Balayya, along with a kid fell from a horse and suffered scratches on his body. The incident happened at around 3:30 pm. Much to our surprise, within a couple of hours, Balayya is back on the sets with incredible energy and participated in the shoot till 7:30 pm. Despite getting injured, he didn’t let the pain come out of his eyes and amazed us with his willpower. It was a delight for us to watch him perform. His energy is unparalleled,” says Krish.

Set in the backdrop of Satavahana dynasty, the film captures the life of unsung Telugu king Satakarni.
