Hyderabad: Minister for Information Technology and Industries KT Rama Rao flagged off Corona Testing Mobile units and Ambulances here at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday under the “Gift A Smile” programme. The Minister waved a green flag for the mobile units gifted by TRS Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency incharge Marri Rajasekhar Reddy.
The Minister appreciated Rajasekhar Reddy for his kind gesture considering the welfare of the people. Rajasekhar Reddy responded saying that he was happy to be a part of the programme. Secunderabad Cantonment Board members Jakkula Maheswar Reddy , Keshav Reddy, Anitha Prabhakar, Pandu Yadav , Nalini Kiran, Bhagyasri Syam , Lokanath and senior party leaders were also present.
The Minister also flagged off six ambulances gifted by party leaders from the same venue. He launched 3 ambulances gifted by Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, 2 ambulances gifted by government Whip Balka Suman and 1 ambulance gifted by Mancherial MLA Diwakar Rao. The Minister congratulated them for coming forward and donating the ambulances which will be a part of the Covid containment efforts.
Indrakaran Reddy said that they have given the ambulances following the advice of the Minister to do something to bring a smile on the face of the common man, on the occasion of his birthday. He said that the ambulances he has donated will operate from the Collectorates of Nirmal and Mancherial. The ambulances has all modern medical equipment including a ventilator and oxygen supply. He said that the ambulances will be of great help for Covid-19 infected patients.
