Australian Consulate General in Chennai Ms Susan Grace met Minister for IT K.T.Rama Rao at Camp Office, Begumpet

Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday invited Australian companies to explore investment opportunities in infrastructure, sports and IT sectors in Telangana State. He assured complete support for Australian investors to establish their business units in the State.

Australian Consul-General in Chennai Susan Grace met with the Minister at his camp office here, where the two discussed business opportunities and trade exchange programmes. The Minister informed about the progressive business environment in Telangana State and outlined the opportunities for Australian companies in various sectors.

Susan Grace was also impressed by the progress of Telangana State and congratulated the State government for launching WE-Hub exclusively for women entrepreneurs and also for taking up initiatives like T-Hub to create an innovation ecosystem.

She assured complete cooperation for strengthening trade and cultural ties between Australia and Telangana. Munish Sharma, Trade Commissioner and Consul for Australia Trade and Investment Commission, as well as Telangana Principal Secretaries S Narsing Rao, Arvind Kumar and Jayesh Ranjan, were also present.

Later, the Australian Consul-General also met with Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Secretary SK Joshi and other senior authorities in the Telangana government as part of her tour.
