Hyderabad: TRS working president and Siricilla MLA KT Rama Rao must be one of the few politicians who always put people before himself, and this came to the fore on social media as netizens lauded him for choosing to travel like a common man in the city traffic rather than using his position to halt traffic for his smooth travel.
A Twitter user, Rakesh Varma, shared his experience on the city road when the MLA chose to wait at a traffic signal on the Panjagutta-Banjara Hills road during rush-hour traffic. “Really pleased. Thank you for not halting the traffic at peak hours on Panjagutta-Banjara Hills road,” he tweeted.
Responding to his tweet, Rama Rao reminded that he never halted traffic even when he was a Minister, and never used a Lal/Neela batti (red/blue lights on vehicle tops) much before the Central government restricted their usage.
Twitteratti responded to the tweet and were all praise for Rama Rao.
