KU Professor to get Bharat Shanthi Dooth award

The award will be conferred on the professor for his three-decade contribution to the higher education and community service in India

Warangal Urban: Prof B Suresh Lal, Department of Economics & Secretary, University Sports Board, Kakatiya University (KU), Warangal will be decorated with ‘Bharat Shanthi Dooth’ award by the World Peace Festival Society (WPFS) on August 25 at Vaagdevi PG College, Hanamkonda. The award has been conferred on the professor for his three-decade contribution to the higher education and community service in India.

Justice Jasti Chalameswar, Senior Judge, Supreme Court of India (retired), Rajesh Kumar,IPS DIG of Police, Hyderabad, president of WPFS Dr Ampasayya Naveen and Mohd Sirajuddin, founder of World Peace Festival Society, Warangal, will participate in the award presentation programme.

The World Peace Festival Society was started in 1997 in Warangal to promote the ideals of peace in the world. The ‘Shanthi Dooth’ (messenger of peace) award is given to individuals who have greatly contributed to the welfare of the society.
