Hyderabad: With the public seeking ways to boost their immunity during the Covid-19 pandemic and many falling prey to quacks in the process, Lake Police Inspector B Dhanalaxmi is doing what she can do best- dispel misinformation and spread awareness in the best possible way.
Dhanalaxmi, while attending her policing duties as a Covid-19 frontline warrior, also took out time to make a video to create awareness on the issue.
With the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) recently advising citizens that herbal tea was proving effective in treating immunity issues during the pandemic, Dhanalaxmi has posted a video sharing the recipe and detailing on how to make the proper herbal tea.
“The Ministry of AYUSH had elaborated on the uses of herbal tea which can be prepared very easily and with less effort at our homes. This is quite helpful in keeping our immunity system charged and reducing the risk of being infected with the virus,” said Dhanalaxmi, who along with her team, is already quite popular in the city for their efforts in saving lives of those coming to the Hussain Sagar to attempt suicide.
“With regular consumption of the herbal tea, I noticed a difference in my health, and now I make it at home every day. Apart from protecting us from any viral infections or seasonal illness, it also helps in healing joint pains and other ailments,” she said, adding that she was advocating the herbal tea to others only because it had proved to be effective for her and not based on hearsay.
Dhanalaxmi in fact had made the video for her colleagues at the police station and shared it with them. “It somehow got shared on social media and became viral. Though I did not want to make it public, it feels good when larger numbers of people are benefitted,” she said.
