Mahabubnagar: Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy issued new pattadar passbooks for 10 acres of agricultural land to 6 Dalit families in his native village of Avancha in Timmajipet mandal on Sunday. What made it significant is the fact that the land was given away free of cost to Dalit families by the Minister back in 2003, by issuing them Saada Bainamas.

Bacchalakura Kalamma, Bacchalakura Nagamma, Golkonda Chennamma, Jakkagalla Chilakamma, Tandra Uttaramma and Begari Venkatamma were issued pattas by Dr Laxma Reddy himself at the new pattadar passbooks distribution programme held in Badepally in Jadcherla constituency on Sunday.

As the beneficiaries were on position but their lands were not registered in their names, Laxma Reddy himself had ordered the revenue officials to give them proceedings and issue them new pattadar passbooks, so that they could avail the benefits of the State government’s Rythu Bandhu scheme.
