In order to help businesses connect effectively and efficiently with the customers, LoginRadius provides a fully managed a cloud-based Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solution. It has served over 3,000 businesses since its launch in 2013 who have in turn reached over a billion users worldwide. Speaking to Telangana Today, LoginRadius co-founder and CEO Rakesh Soni tells Sruti Venugopal about their journey so far and plans ahead.
Journey so far
While developing a traditional login system for a new web application, we realised what a hassle it would be for users to register, between filling out long forms and remembering an additional set of username and password. So, in order to simplify the task for the end user, we decided to let users log in via their existing accounts on Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and integrated this feature on our new project. And that’s how the concept of LoginRadius was born. We launched the beta version in 2012 and started offering free features. As we started getting traction, we decided to quit our jobs and raised our seed funding of $1.3 million in early 2014. Since then, we have been growing over 100 per cent annually and have raised $17 million in Series A funding.
Securing customer identities
As a provider of a fully managed cloud CIAM solution, LoginRadius prioritises guaranteed system performance. Most of our clients are growing, especially those media, retail, travel and hospitality sectors. LoginRadius recognises the need for a highly scalable and adaptable platform that can grow with them. Our CIAM platform is designed with security as the highest priority, ensuring that customer data and identity are protected without sacrificing performance, availability, or scalability.
Hiring and expansion plans
We have plans to onboard 200 million identities by the end of next year. We have already begun ramping up our India operations and aim to triple our workforce by 2020. Also, at present, most of our clients are from international markets but, we do have some major customers in the Indian market. We expect Indian companies to accelerate their adoption of cloud technologies in the coming years. Plan to strengthen our research and development (R&D) and business operations team in India by hiring around 200 people in the country by 2020.
Hyderabad is one of the key focus markets for LoginRadius in India. At present we have a small presence in the city but there are plans to expand it further and open an independent office in Hyderabad to support our growth and encourage local talent.
