Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat’s initiative of mentoring Civil Services aspirants for interviews is reaping rich results each year. At least 100 candidates who were trained by Mahesh Bhagwat for the interviews of Civil Services Examination, 2019 have cleared successfully.
Some of the top rankers mentored by him include Patki Mandar Jayant Rao (22nd rank), Nidhi Bansal (23), Pedditi Dhatri Reddy (46) Deepak Babulal Karwa (48), Yashni Nagarajan (57), and Mallavarapu Suryateja (76).
In fact, of the 829 candidates recommended by the UPSC for various posts, 100 have been trained by Mahesh Bhagwat.
Taking time out of the busy schedule, the Rachakonda Commissioner trained candidates from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra among candidates from other States for two-three hours a day. Apart from sharing news articles on current affairs through WhatsApp groups, he prepares expected questions for candidates based on their profile.
“Sir provided preparation material and guidance for the interviews. He used to be just a message away,” Dhatri Reddy said. Suryateja said “On the basis of my profile, sir gave me some expected questions. Apart from WhatsApp Group, he provided me personal guidance for the interview.”
Speaking to Telangana Today, Bhagwat said he started mentoring candidates for the Civil Services five years ago.
“It is my passion. Daily I spend two to three hours mentoring the candidates. During the interview period, I devote more time. I am really happy that candidates who are mentored by me have successfully cleared the Civil Services examination,” Bhagwat added.
