Major fire breaks out near Hyderabad

According to the police, fire erupted from the tanker which was parked on the road around 2 pm. At least three people were feared to be injured while reports of one casualty are yet to be confirmed.

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in Medipally on the city outskirts after a diesel tanker and a truck carrying LPG cylinders caught fire on Friday afternoon.

According to the police, fire erupted from the tanker which was parked on the road around 2 pm. At least three people were feared to be injured while reports of one casualty are yet to be confirmed. The injured included one motorcyclist who was passing by the area when one of the vehicles exploded.

 

Two fire engines rushed to the spot and doused the fire, police said, adding that an investigation into the mishap was on.
