Man who attempted suicide for Telangana movement to get Rs 10 lakh

Nagaraju was severely injured in a suicide attempt during the Telangana movement.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has sanctioned Rs 10 lakh in financial assistance to Pidamarthi Nagaraju of Rayanigudem village in Garidepally mandal of Nalgonda district. Nagaraju was severely injured in a suicide attempt during the Telangana movement.

TRS MP Balka Suman and MLC Karna Prabhakar handed over the cheque for Rs 10 lakh to Nagaraju on Friday. On August 15, 2011, Nagaraju attempted suicide by coming under a train in Miryalaguda but survived with severe injuries.
